Self Introduction

from The Dream Reaver by Maroon(ed)

lyrics

Let me introduce myself.
Some people think that I’m a common man
But I’m here to tell you the truth,
I'm gonna tell you how the story goes through.

I haven’t got my own dreams,
I have to steal yours
I’m only a dreamers’ thief
( I ) have to steal your
Gotta steal your dreams
I haven't got mine
That's why

I have never seen
Fishes dancing on the clouds
And I’ve never heard the trees
That whisper so loud!

And my spirit turns
Into a crazy, creeping sea
And a woman I don’t know
She cries and
She lies for me
Hangin’on her dreams I can feel
Unreal colours over me

But I know
You’ll wake up
And my visions will stop

You’ve gotta keep on dreaming for me right now
You’ve gotta keep on dream on on on dream on on on …

The first time
I noticed what was I
My brother slept so close to me
That my lips
Were kissing his skin

In a while
I was in such a diferent place
That still today
I can see it clear as a summer day

Then a music
Started to play
From a wooden box…
( I ) recognized that sound
So close to me.

When I looked
My brother stood
Like a piece of rock
With eyes made of gold
But he could not see me.

And my voice
Rose to your ears
No sign on you
( I ) can't help but thinking:
“Can you hear
sounds from my lips?”

And your steps
That walk on through
My body nude
( I ) can’t help but thinking:
“Can you feel the touch of my skin?”

I was like air to him!

(You) cannot see me
(You) cannot hear me
(You) cannot touch me
(You) cannot heal me

I can see you
I can hear you
I can touch you
I can change your dreams.
